Motivation Community members use The Mentor Game to shape the attitudes of higher education and high school students through role play. By describing the life of disadvantaged children and young people, the game, compared to traditional teaching methods, provides an alternative to discuss the issue of equity in education and poverty. Playing together, the players get to know less familiar topics and experience the difficulties disadvantaged pupils are faced with. During this interactive game, the real-life experiences of the members of the Motivation Community as mentors of disadvantaged pupils also come to surface, thus credibility plays a key role in the game.
