Erdődi Noémi
Noémi graduated from the University of Szeged, Faculty of Arts as a Latin and multicultural education teacher. She joined the Motivation Student Mentoring Program in 2013: she spent half year at Orczy István Primary School in Kiskundorozsma as a paid mentor. At present, she works as a teacher at the Motivation Extracurricular Program in Tiszasziget, while also acting as a mentor in one of the five-member groups of the Motivation Scholarship Program.
Dr. Fejes József Balázs
József is an Assistant Professor at the University of Szeged, Institute of Education as well as the President of the Motivation Educational Association. He studied geography, pedagogy and labour relations at the University of Szeged; moreover, he has a PhD in education. His fields of research are the motivational impacts of the social environment as well as the learning problems of Roma and disadvantaged children and children with special educational needs. József participates in organizing and realizing disadvantage-compensation programs as well as programs supporting the development of an inclusive society. He is one of the founders of the Motivation Student Mentoring Program; he acts as the Professional Leader of the Motivation Extracurricular Program in Szeged; he is a member of TanodaPlatform and Katalizátor Hálózat.
Kelemen Valéria
Valéria is the Vice-President of Motivation Educational Association. She mainly participates in coordinating and realizing educational disadvantage-compensation projects. She studied English and pedagogy at the University of Szeged. Valéria supported the pupils of a closed-down school as a mentor within the framework of the Motivation Student Mentoring Program during the first 2 academic years of its operation; then she worked as the Project Manager of the Program for 5 years. At present, Valéria is the Leader of the Motivation Extracurricular Program in Szeged. She is a member of Katalizátor Hálózat and TanodaPlatform. Moreover, she is the author of several publications on disadvantage-compensation.
Makádi Balázs
Balázs started to work with children with disadvantaged backgrounds within the framework of the Motivation Student Mentoring Program as a voluntary mentor. He is currently a paid mentor of the Motivation Scholarship Program as well as the Administrative Manager of the Motivation Educational Association. He holds a BA degree in history from the University of Szeged, where he is currently studying in the teacher of history and the teacher of specialization of people and society MA Programs.
Németh Katalin
Katalin is the President of Shero Association. She holds a BA degree in pedagogy from the University of Szeged as well as a community organizer advanced vocational qualification. After participating in the Roma English Language Program and the Roma Graduate Preparation Program, she was admitted to the Central European University where she is currently studying public policy in the MA Program of the School of Public Policy. She joined the Motivation Student Mentoring Program as a mentor in 2009, where she was responsible for liaising with the family of the pupils until 2013. At present, she works for the Extracurricular Program in Szeged where she is still responsible for liaising with family members as well as organizing community programs.
Dr. Szűcs Norbert
Norbert is an Assistant Professor at the University of Szeged, Institute of Adult Education; he is the Vice President of Motivation Educational Association and the President of Pontus Public Benefit Association. Norbert studied sociology, ethnography and cultural management at the University of Szeged. He received his PhD degree from the Doctoral School for “Education and Society” of the University of Pécs. His research areas are the following: equity, integration and innovation from the aspect of society, education and the labor market. Norbert is one of the founders and leaders of the Motivation Educational Association. He is the professional leader of the Extracurricular Program in Tiszasziget. Norbert is a member of Katalizátor Hálózat and TanodaPlatform; he is the author of several publications.
Steigler Anett
Anett holds a BA degree in fine art painting and drawing and Hungarian language and literature from Eszterházy Károly College. She is currently a student of visual culture and andragogy teacher at the University of Szeged. Annet has been a volunteer mentor of the Motivation Student Mentoring Program since September, 2013. She works in the Extracurricular Program as a co-leader of a group as well as the leader of a drawing workshop aimed at developing self-awareness. In cooperation with several different associations, Anett supports children to work together and create paintings together within the framework of a Grassroots project titled Integration as a social experience.
