Szegregációmozaik [Segregation Mosaic] (available in Hungarian)
Segregation Mosaic is an educational tool and pedagogical method designed to support a deeper understanding of the complex phenomenon of social and school segregation. Developed by Motivation Collective, the tool encourages participants to think collaboratively about the causes, consequences, and possible solutions related to segregation. During the session, participants use a set of cards to explore different aspects of the issue, gradually assembling them into a mosaic. Through this process, both the visible and less visible elements of the education system begin to emerge—misconceptions, social consequences, as well as underlying causes and patterns of segregation. This tool is particularly useful for professionals and organizations working in education, equity, and the support of disadvantaged young people, including teachers, pre-service teachers, social workers, and staff of civil society organizations. At the same time, Segregation Mosaic also offers an engaging and accessible way for students and interested participants to explore the topic together, and to reflect on their own role in shaping a more equitable education system.
